Video of Race day is below.

24hrs of Palmer Lake: Race Video 2014 from Jerry Armstrong on Vimeo.

As race Director, I didn't expect to run much, but managed to 64 miles of running at 7,240ft elevation (&3rd place male!), mostly at night when everyone went home, or left for the day. I was 4.5 hours behind (25-30 miles behind at 12 hours), just doing race duties/admin, then realized everyone left except four of us, who stayed on the course throughout the night.

Jeremy Bradford finished first with 90.2 miles, Todd Burgess 2nd with 80.36 miles. Needless to say, we were the only guys to keep going all through the night, when everyone stopped running around 10:30-11:pm w 9+hours left in the race

I enjoyed seeing all the runners in the day double the distances they'd never expected to do, a surpurb effort my all.

From 10:30pm till 6am, in the darkness, only four of us continued accumulating laps at night, in below freezing temperatures, and I finally moved into 3rd place male spot at 4am. Fearing any of the others would come back and do more laps, I kept going, and finished the day with 64 miles. My longest run in the last 6 weeks was 7-8 miles.
